Most tired shopfronts and entrance doors don’t need ripping out. New closers, locks, gaskets or a glass unit, plus a proper adjustment, will keep them working for years at a fraction of the cost of a new screen.
Real jobs, before and after. Same frames, same glass. Just the worn parts replaced and the doors set up properly again.

Showroom entrance with a leaf torn out of its frame and the glass smashed. Doors repaired, reglazed and re-hung so the entrance opens and locks properly again.

Pivot corroded through the threshold. Replaced with a new pivot plate and re-set so the door swings true.

Worn concealed closer losing its tension. Replaced like-for-like in the existing transom.

Worn top arm causing the door to drop and bind. New arm fitted and the door re-hung.

Floor spring rusted solid in its box. Cut out and replaced with a new floor spring, and the door set up again.

Threshold rotted away around the pivot. New pivot plate fixed back to sound substrate.
Anyone responsible for commercial doors that get heavy daily use and need to keep working, locking and looking right.

Over 20 years on aluminium shopfront and entrance systems, so we can work on most makes: Kawneer, Senior, SAS, Smart, Schüco, Aluprof and more.
We’ll always tell you honestly which makes sense. Most of the time, it’s the repair.
| Repair & Service | Full Replacement | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | A fraction of a new screen | New frames, glass, hardware and installation |
| Disruption | Usually done in a few hours, while you trade | Days on site, with the unit boarded or closed |
| Lead Time | Common parts carried in stock | Weeks of manufacture before fitting |
| Approvals | Like-for-like, so usually no landlord or planning sign-off | May need landlord, planning or building control approval |
| When It’s Right | Frames are sound, and the problem is hardware, seals or glass | Frames are corroded, distorted or the layout needs to change |

For quieter sites and back-of-house doors.
For shopfronts and main entrances in daily use.
For managing agents and multi-site operators.
We’ll walk the site, check every door and send you a short photo report, with repair costs set out next to replacement costs so you can decide. The survey is chargeable, and the fee is taken off the repair if you go ahead with us.
Servicing and repair of aluminium shopfronts and commercial entrance doors.

A busy shop door can open and close a thousand times a day. Closers lose their tension, floor springs leak oil, pivots wear, locks get forced and gaskets shrink and fall out. None of that means the frame or glass has had it. Usually the aluminium is sound and the problem is the hardware and adjustment that keeps it working.
Left alone, small faults get expensive. A door that slams breaks its glass. A door that drops scrapes the floor and strains the lock until it won’t secure at night. Catching it early with a service visit costs far less than the emergency call-out later.
If a door or screen genuinely needs replacing, because the frame is corroded, the system is obsolete or you want a different layout, we’ll tell you, and we can price the replacement too. But we won’t recommend a new shopfront when a closer and a set of gaskets will do the job.
Repairs are priced on survey, and planned maintenance on a fixed price per door or per site. Send photos and a rough door count and we’ll tell you what’s involved.
